The Collaborative Recovery Empowerment of the Southern Tier, or “CREST”, is announcing the publication of a new report called “Workplace Well-being: A Real Strategy to Increase Your Business Productivity.”

The report is the result of a survey of Southern Tier business leaders working with workplace wellness practices advocate: Organizational Wellness Learning  (OWL) Systems conducted from December 2021 through February 2022.

Officials say the survey found employers spent around 39% of their time every month dealing with such employee health issues as stress, burn-out and mental health issues.

Some of the groups working with OWL on the cooperative effort are The AGENCY (Broome’s economic development agency), Broome-Tioga Workforce, The Family & Children’s Society, the Leatherstocking Education on Alcoholism/Addictions Foundation or “LEAF’ and the Alcohol & Drug Council of Tompkins County.

The White Paper report can be downloaded at CREST partner websites including The Agency, Southerntier8.org and alcholdrugcouncil.org.

A business lunch featuring an in-depth presentation of the findings is scheduled for May 17 via video conference.
