Sheepish in Norwich

Authorities in Chenango County are left scratching their heads following a strange encounter in the City of Norwich early May 30.

Emergency Services officials say Norwich City Police Officers on patrol at around 2 a.m. were surprised to find sheep wandering around on East Main Street.

Authorities say they have no idea where the three or four sheep came from, who they belong to or how they ended up taking an early-morning stroll around the big city of Norwich.

Officers shepherded the small flock to the school grounds for safety while they try to find the sheepish owner.
