After suffering two straight losses to the Erie SeaWolves at UPMC Park, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies looked to salvage a game on the road before heading home for the Fourth Of July.

At the bottom of the second inning, it would be Sergio Alcantara grounding into a force out to score Frank Schwindel, giving Erie the first run of the ballgame. Daniel Pinero would add more fuel to the fire in the bottom of the fourth as he homers a fly ball into left field to make it a 2-0 lead.

It took a while, but Binghamton was able to get a run at the top of the seventh inning. Andres Gimenez doubled on a soft line drive to right field to bring home David Thompson, cutting the SeaWolves lead down to one. Michael Paez would assist in the game-tying score as he doubled on a fly ball to left field, allowing Luis Carpio to come in at the top of the eighth inning. Neither team could pull away, so we moved to extra innings.

At the top of the tenth inning, Binghamton wasted no time scoring. Carpio line drives an RBI single to left field, coming around was Gimenez and they would take the 3-2 lead. Derek Hill would play the role of the heartbreaker, as he would hit the walk-off two-run blast and seal the deal for the SeaWolves in a final score of 4-3.

The Rumble Ponies will look to regroup at home as they will host the Akron Rubber Ducks. This will be the team's final four-game series before the All-Star break. The first game of the series will be on the Fourth of July at NYSEG Stadium starting at 6:35 P.M.
