In their series against the Fightin Phils, the Rumble Ponies have performed well. They won on July 22 and split the doubleheader on July 23. For the finale on July 24, Binghamton was looking to cap off their road trip on a strong positive note.

Reading would get on the board first as Josh Stephen hit a single to right field to score Darick Hall. Soon after, Stephen would cross home plate himself as well as Cornelius Randolph thanks to the RBI double from Jose Gomez. Lastly, Gomez would end up coming home off the bat of Arquimedes Gamboa and his RBI single. It was a 4-0 lead for the Fightin Phils after the first inning.

At the top of the second, Gavin Cecchini helped the Rumble Ponies put a dent into Reading's lead by hitting a solo home-run. Unfortunately, that run was essentially erased by Mickey Moniak as he scored off the single from Hall. A double by Randolph to send home Hall would put the Fightin Phils on top 6-1 after two.

Quinn Brodey would try to get something started for Binghamton as he too hit a solo homer in the top of the fourth. But once again the Rumble Ponies momentum was shut down as Hall hit a two-run homer, allowing Luke Williams to cross home plate. Reading would lead 8-2 after four.

Binghamton would continue to fight back as Jason Krizan got himself a two-run homer. This also brought home Brodey and made it an 8-4 game at the top of the seventh inning.

The Rumble Ponies made their last stand in the ninth inning. Cecchini walked to score Krizan and Andres Gimenez grounded into a force out to send David Thompson home. Ultimately, Binghamton came up short and fell by a final score of 8-6. The team will look to right the ship as they will return home to take on the Bowie Baysox at NYSEG Stadium. The first game of the series will take place on July 25 with a scheduled start time of 6:35 P.M.
