The Rumble Ponies fell to the Yard Goats on September 1 by a narrow 3-2 margin. September 2 marked the last game of the 2019 season and Binghamton hoped to go out with a bang.

It would be the top of the second when a wild pitch tallied the first run of the game. Alan Trejo scored one for the Yard Goats and gave them the early lead.

Binghamton would get on the board in the bottom of the third. Andres Giminez with the solo home-run to right field tied the game at one.

It was the bottom of the fourth that the Rumble Ponies began to pile it on. Luis Carpio kicked things off with a solo homer to left field. Next, Edgardo Fermin doubled to left, which brought home Michael Paez. Finally, an RBI double from Quinn Brodey delivered Fermin back to the dugout. Binghamton had a 4-1 lead after four.

The Yard Goats would start to make some headway beginning with the top of the seventh. Scott Burcham singled on a line drive that sent home Trejo. Bret Boswell continued with a solo home-run in the top of the eighth. It was 4-3 after eight with Hartford trailing by one.

The defense was able to close the game out and the Rumble Ponies end the season in style, stealing three of four games from the Yard Goats, winning the final game by a score of 4-3. Binghamton ends the season with a 67-73 overall record.
