On June 27, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies began their road trip to Altoona, PA. In the first matchup of the series, Binghamton suffered a 6-3 loss. Going into the second game, the Rumble Ponies looked to right the ship and get back to their winning ways.

After a couple of scoreless innings, it would be Binghamton who would strike first. At the top of the third, Gavin Cecchini out on a sacrifice fly to center field would score Quinn Brodey and give the Rumble Ponies the first run of the ballgame.

Alfredo Reyes would come in to score for the Curve in the bottom of the fifth as Mitchell Tolman singled a fly ball to center. Soon after, Jared Olivia's ground ball single to center field would score both Tolman and Pedro Vasquez. The inning would end with a Robbie Glendinning double to right, bringing home Bralin Jackson and making it a 4-1 lead for Altoona.

With Andres Gimenez in tow, a Patrick Mazeika homer at the top of the sixth would bring the lead for Altoona to within one. Barrett Barnes on a home run to left field, scoring Mazeika as well, would put the Rumble Ponies on top 5-4 in the top of the eighth. That lead would be short-lived as at the bottom of the eighth, a Brett Pope double to left field would score Reyes and the Curve would tie the game.

Binghamton would retake the lead once again at the top of the ninth as Braxton Lee runs home off the double from Brodey. Will Toffey would provide some insurance with a home run to left center field, giving the Rumble Ponies a 7-5 lead and eventually the win.

The Rumble  Ponies end their four-game skid both against the Curve specifically and overall. Binghamton will look to ride this momentum into their next contest, which will be a double-header on June 29, Game one will kick off from PNG Field at 4:30 P.M.
