This Sunday, my daughter Tara and I will get together to watch the biggest game of the year! NO, not the football game but something much more important....Kitten Bowl VI on the  Hallmark Channel  and Puppy Bowl XIV on Animal Planet.

What we can't watch live, we tape and cheer for our favorite animals. I think it's awesome that the various agencies take the time to bring awareness for those animals that are looking for a new home. It's also very entertaining to watch.

The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is also taking advantage of the same opportunity with their second annual Penguin Bowl. The African penguins are taking the field and competing to raise awareness for endangered species and to support the Binghamton Zoo's conservation efforts.

You are invited to tune in live on social media this Sunday, February 3rd and see Penguin Bowl II live on the zoo's Facebook and Twitter pages from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. After the big game, tune back to the Binghamton Zoo's Instagram page for the post-game rundown and more importantly, find out who was the MVP (Most Valuable Penguin!)

Good luck to all the competitors where the real winners are the animals. The Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
