Marathon’s Maple Fest Pancake Contest Is Back And Needs Eaters!

Attention Not-For-Profits. The Central New York Maple Festival in Marathon NY has a fantastic opportunity for you to raise funds while having fun eating pancakes. It's the 28th Annual Maple Festival Pancake Eating Contest on April 18th.

It's your chance to eat as many pancakes with NO judgment and you'll be honored for it. It begins at 9 a.m. in the Marathon High School Auditorium and the best part is all the proceeds go to your favorite charity.

Here's a chance to raise money for your not-for-profit while you eat as many flapjacks as you can in 15 minutes. I've participated in the past and I may be entering again this year.

You have options when it comes to this contest. You can raise money for every pancake you eat or get flat donations just for showing up to eat for your favorite cause. So here's the question: Does your not-for-profit group want to make money while having fun at the same time? Then here's what you do.

Send a postcard or letter to Pancake Eating Contest, PO Box 291, Marathon NY 13803. Let them know the name and address of the not-for-profit organization, and the contact person of the "pancake eater."

Wait for confirmation to have a place at the Pancake Eating Table Of Love! Okay, I made up the "Of Love" part. Once that has been achieved, you can start your pledge campaign and getting $ per pancake or outright donations.

All the money raised will stay with your organization, and the CNY Maple Festival will pledge $2 per pancake too. There are only so many people that can sit at the Pancake Eating Table, so don't delay.

Your organization or club can easily raise funds while celebrating the coming of Spring and the goodness it brings. The CNY Maple Festival officially runs April 18th & 19th. Check out the fun we had when I participated in this event in the past and as they say “It’s a Pancake Party.”
