Looking for a New Job? Company Seeks Bullet Tester with High Pain Tolerance

Looking for a new job in the new year? Well, if you're a thrill seeker with a high threshold for pain, this could be everything you're looking for.

UK Paintball in Britain is looking for someone to stand around while others shoot paintball bullets at them. The company is promising an annual salary of $60,000 and needs someone to fire bullets at to make sure each new batch meets safety regulations.

According to the company, in addition to the salary, the job offers "extremely flexible working hours and travel expenses." But the job comes with a warning: the position "may pose a small risk of pain, discomfort and some bruising."

They make no mention of why the previous bullet tester left the job, but I think I have a good idea...

While being a paintball bullet tester might seem like a bizarre job, there are actually a bunch of other really random jobs that people get paid to do. Here are a couple of them:

• Pet Food Tester– Yep, a human actually tastes dog food for a living.
• Gumologist– This job is exactly what it sounds like- somebody gets paid to chew gum.
• Professional Snuggler– You can get your snuggle on for cash. Not for people easily creeped out.
• Oshiya– An “oshiya” is a real job in Japan where people are paid to go to train stations during rush hour and push people onto the trains so as many people as possible can fit inside.
• Water Slide Tester– Someone’s gotta get paid to go on rides. This is a job I'd love!\

• Professional Mourner– Believe it or not, people actually get paid to show up to other people's funerals and mourn.
• Chicken Sexer– Definitely NOT what you think! These are people who have to identify the gender of new, baby chicks.
• Ostrich Babysitter– In South Africa, people are paid to watch ostriches and make sure that they don’t kill each other.
