Local Business Donates Suite Tickets to Cancer Survivor to Rumble Ponies Opening Day
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies begin on Thursday, April 5th at NYSEG Stadium and there has been a lot of buzz about opening day. By now, you've heard that Tim Tebow will start the year with the Double-A Mets. In fact, I heard that one of the dentists in the area bought 60 tickets when he heard that Tebow was coming to town.
Here's some more great news, Taylor Garbage is sending a very special fan to RumbleTown on Thursday. They have donated four suite tickets to Damin Titus. He's a cancer survivor and a big time Binghamton baseball fan. He is currently in remission after his battle with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Damin plans on sharing his suite with his parents and a friend from school. Last year, the Rumble Ponies got together with A Room to Heal and provided Damin a very special, baseball-themed bedroom.
I think that is an awesome thing that Taylor Garbage is doing and I want to thank them for their generosity.
It works out well for Damin on Thursday that he will be in a suite where it'll be nice and warm because outside we could have a couple of inches of snow and temperatures in the 20's. So bundle up before you leave the house and get ready for an exciting season.
It's a good thing that it's fleece giveaway night but you better get there early because it's only for the first 1,000 fans at the game. The Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Double-A affiliate) will be here with first pitch at 6:35 pm.
Giddy-Up and let's get Ready to Rumble with the Ponies!!!
