Dating isn't easy. You can ask anyone that has dipped their toe into that pool and they'll tell you that it's true. Here's my question for you, Should your first date be on Valentine's Day? This year it falls on the weekend so that will add pressure and it looks like it's going to be cold outside too.

I did an informal survey with the ladies in the building and it was unanimous. DON'T DO IT!!!  Men, if you're determined to do it anyway, let me help you from my experiences.

Don't dress creatively because she needs to know that you're normal. You can prove what kind of "funky guy" you are on the next date...although it could be your last.

Do not attempt to rub knees unless you're getting serious signals. Signals do not include yawing, blinking or nodding off.

Don't talk about her "chi." The New Age guy could be a good yoga instructor but she might not want to get romantic with one.

I was going to ask Traci about her thoughts on this subject but I know that she's not a big fan of Valentine's Day. In case you don't know, it's also her birthday. If you care what women think (and if you're a guy, then you should), I would wait until next weekend.

Although if you're taking my free advice on dating, remember you get what you pay for. Did you have a first date on Valentine's Day? How did it go? We would love to hear from you.
