Chances are good if you made a resolution for the New Year that you're still doing a great job keeping it, but I've got to warn you that 85% of people give up by January 25th.

It seems like every year we vow that THIS is the year that we're going to stick to our resolutions, but then we get lazy or bored or frustrated and toss our hands in the air and give up.

Want to beat the odds this year?  There are two things to remember:

1. First off you'll have a higher success rate if you stick to just ONE resolution.

2. You need to start over again if you cheat. Too many people just give up once they slip.

If you follow those two things, you should be able to stick to your resolution without issues.

So what was my resolution this year? After years of pressuring myself to change various things that never got changed and then being sad on New Year's Eve when I realized I hadn't accomplished what I'd set out to do, I resolved to not make a resolution this year. I did, however, make a conscious decision to be happy in 2016 and not let anyone or anything stand in my way of a happy life. So, I guess that's sort of a resolution, right?
