One of the things that they've had to deal with is food insecurity. That's why Good Shepherd Village and CHOW are getting together to help them out. CHOW has also been limited because of the pandemic and hasn't been able to do their in-person food drives.

So on Wednesday, August 18th, they will be collecting non-perishable items for our local seniors that are struggling with food insecurity. The employees and residents of Good Shepherd will be at the main entrance of Good Shepard Village under the flag pole from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The suggested donations are low sodium and low sugar items like no sugar added cereals, canned fruits, heart-healthy soups, etc. We hope that you'll have the time to stop by and help to replenish some of the pantries that serve our senior population.

We hope to see you on Wednesday, August 18th between 2 and 5 p.m. at Good Shepherd Village.
