The Bingamton Rumble Ponies continue their winning ways after defeating the Erie SeaWolves 3-0, they've won four in a row and are 11-2 in their last 13 games.

They look to keep the winning streak alive while helping out needy kids in the Southern Tier, just in time for back-to-school.

They are going to "Fill the Bus" with new, unused school supplies at NYSEG Stadium. You are asked to bring them to the Starting Gate Ticket Office entrance. Here's an added bonus, anyone who donates an item will get a "Buy One, Get One Free" ticket to tonight's game against Erie.

They are looking for but not limited to: Backpacks, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil pouches, colored pencils, markers, pencil sharpeners, highlighters, index cards, binders, pocket folders, tissues, and/or lunchboxes and bags. Items must be in a new, unopened container (for example, a pack of pencils or pens, not just one pen).

The Healthy Lifestyles Coalition will organize all supplies to fill the more than 400 backpacks. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are going to donate 50 backpacks toward this cause.

Once all of the backpacks have been organized, they will then be given away at the 2nd Annual North Side Community Block Party from noon to 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 19th at Cheri A. Lindsey Memorial Park.

Can't make it tonight but still want to help out with this school supplies/backpack giveaway? Go here for more information.

First pitch is at 6:35 pm.
