They say when you meet the right one, you know it. That seems to be true for Eric Paslay. Eric is part of the Hawk Country Light's Festival. He asked his girlfriend Natalie Harker for her hand in marriage last December after being together for a few years.

They had actually known each other for several years before they started to date. Natalie had a photo album that she started when they started dating. Eric added some of his own photos and even dropped hints at the end of the book.

One of the photos was a picture of a gold record at the Opry. He wrote "Gold at the Opry.' The last picture was of them in front of the Christmas tree. He got foam and wrapped it in velvet.

He put the ring in the back and had the diamond pop out where the star on top of the tree would be. It took her a moment but she noticed that there was a diamond instead of the star.

The best part according to Eric: She said yes.

That puts my proposing in a gorilla suit to shame. Okay, any proposal puts that to shame. WHAT.....Wearing a monkey suit with such lines as "I'm banana's for you" and "Let's quit monkeying around" don't match up to a diamond on a Christmas tree in a photo album. I give Eric credit, it wasn't a dime-on-ring.

We don't know the wedding date but we know when he'll be here for the Hawk Country Light's Festival. Friday, July 10th at NYSEG Stadium. Go here to get your tickets now.
