I've never been part of Junior League but I love their mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities. Honestly, I wish I had a couple more hours in my day because in addition to making a difference in our community, I think it would be a great way to meet more women my age.

If you're not familiar with Junior League, it was founded in 1901 and has evolved into one of the oldest, largest, and most effective women’s volunteer organizations in the world and now they'd like to invite you to join and help make a difference in our community.  There's simply no way I can squeeze one more thing into my schedule, but if you've got a little extra time, maybe you'll consider?

The Junior League of Binghamton is looking for women over the age of 18 who are looking to volunteer and make a positive impack on her community. If this sounds interesting to you, there will be an information night on October 15th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This meeting will be held in the office of the Junior League at 475 Main Street in Johnson City (on the grounds of the All Saints Episcopal Church).

The Junior League of Binghamton has a very proud history of developing several Southern Tier institutions either independently or with community partners. These include The Children's Shelter, The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier, The Story Garden, Safety Town and many others. The Leagues' newest initiative is the Kopernik Science Park and they're looking for additional members to help them achieve their goals and develop this project.
