Discover the Thrill of Snowmobiling at ‘Take a Friend Snowmobiling’ Event
It's been nearly a decade since I climbed on the back of a snowmobile, but I remember it like it was yesterday. My husband's uncle offered to take me on a ride around the property behind his house and I can still feel the exhilarating thrill in my chest that I felt that day as we zoomed off.
If you've never been on a snowmobile, but would like to see what it's all about, the Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club will be hosting their annual 'Take a Friend Snowmobiling' day.
According to the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association,
Research shows that people WANT to go snowmobiling but don’t know HOW to get started. By planning a ride, we take the guesswork out of it for those that might not try it any other way....Sometimes individuals have little knowledge about snowmobiling. If we take them out for a ride and show them how much fun it is and how wonderful it is to experience the winter in a unique way with friends and family, we can shed the true light on the family activity of snowmobiling.
The Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club in Whitney Point would like to take you for a ride and introduce you to the sport that they love so much. If you'd like to participate in 'Take a Friend Snowmobiling' day, all you need to do is show up at the Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club Groomer Building, 246 Smith Hill Road in Lisle on Saturday, February 15 between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Be sure to dress warmly and bring a properly fitting helmet if you've got one if you don't the club will have one that you can use. If you'd like to RSVP to this event or have any questions, please visit the Ridge Riders Facebook page.
