Well yesterday was getaway day for the Binghamton Mets. I think that they are happy to be leaving Akron and don't have to see them again for the rest of the regular season (except for the B-Mets that will be going there for the All-Star game in July.)

They fell to the RubberDucks, 7-1. Read all about it here. The other reason that they are happy to say adios is they finish their season series with Akron with a 1-8 record.

The good news is that they are home at NYSEG Stadium for eight in a row, including four in a row with the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Tonight's first pitch is at 6:35.

There are other things going on with the B-Mets including the Binghamton "Name the Team" contest. If you haven't heard the 'Super Six' nominees, then go here to see the name, the meaning and to vote.

Also on Thursday, it's "Dinner With the B-Mets" at Little Venice. Your chance to be served by your favorite Binghamton Met. This year it benefits "I Wear for Maddie" Sarcoma Awareness. Go here to bid on your favorite player.

LET'S GO METS!
