The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) announces their annual DIFD game with the Rumble Ponies. How can it be a annual when this the first year as the Rumble Ponies? Well it has to start somewhere and this is it on Friday (5/12).

It’s DIFD - Power to the Purple Night with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies when the Akron Rubber Ducks come to NYSEG Stadium. MHAST will turn the stadium purple and you are invited to wear purple to the game and support for youth mental health and suicide prevention.

DIFD is a program promoting youth mental wellness and suicide prevention. You can read about Daron’s story here.

Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in youth ages 10-24 in the country. Things are tougher for our youth then ever before especially with social media. It's important to look for the signs.

Go here to see the signs and what we as parents can do. Our kids may be afraid to let us know that something is going on in their lives and that they can't handle it.

Here is where it gets better. You can get tickets at a reduced price and help out MHAST at the same time. You can get $7 tickets with $2 going to MHAST. Go here and use promo code "DIFD2017."

You can also call Steve Popoloski with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at (607) 722-3866 and ask him for the discount.

Stick around after the game and you could be going home with one of the specialty jerseys that will be worn by the Ponies during the game. If not, you can enjoy fireworks and go on the field for a special DIFD photo.

First pitch is at 7:05 and LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE with the Ponies on Friday night.
