According to Secure Data Recovery, New York is one of the states with the most digital junk accumulated. Our devices are packed with files, documents, photos, and other digital content that we never even use.

I know that's true for me so I should  find the time to go through my thousands of files when you're busy doing other stuff? What about you?

So, why are we such hoarders of digital clutter? Well, it's not entirely our fault. With our fast-paced lifestyles, we're always on the move and don't have much time to declutter most of our life including our digital lives.

But, there's hope! Just like sorting through your closet to get rid of all the stuff taking up space that you never wear, there are ways to declutter your digital life.

Ways To Declutter Our Digital Lives

Keep it Essential

Figure out what files and documents absolutely need to be saved and then delete anything else.

File it Up
Create folders for different types of content, like work, personal, and so on. It will help make finding things easier.

Hit Unsubscribe
Unsubscribe from stuff that you don't ever read and take up space in your email by getting rid of those emails that are clogging your inbox.

Back it Up
Spend a little money on cloud storage solutions or external hard drives to back up your files securely. This helps keep space on your devices while keeping your data safe too.

Decluttering Time
Make a little time every month to clean up your digital clutter so that you're not so overwhelmed.

Take the time to make some time and get rid of the things that are decluttering your life and you'll have more time for the things that matter..
