There are so many things that we enjoy about summertime including warm weather, fairs & festivals, and sporting events. Another thing that I enjoy is the classic car shows including the Olde Time Cruise-In and Family Day in my hometown of Warren Center, PA.

However, with the coronavirus pandemic, many of these shows have been canceled. Here's some good news for you classic car fans, it's the 1st Annual Sock Out Cancer Parade.

It'll be stepping off this Sunday, July 26th beginning at 12 p.m. Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the Binghamton Plaza on 33 West State Street. It will go down State Street, turn right onto Court Street, then continue thru Johnson City, Endwell, and Endicott.

It'll turn left onto Bridge Street and end up at the Four Corners in Vestal. All types of vehicles are welcome and every entry will get a pair of Sock Out Cancer Socks.

A $10 entry fee and a non-perishable donation for CHOW is all that is required. The money raised will go to Lourdes Hospital, United Health Services, and CHOW. Security Mutual Life Chairman Bruce Boyea will serve as the Grand Marshall.

Cruise on in and cruise on out for a great cause. If you wish to participate, call Bob Connelly at (607) 343-2968. You can go here to find out more about the 1st Annual Sock Out Cancer Parade this Sunday.
