Broome County YMCA Offering Summer Enrichment Class

I remember when my niece Kayleigh went from part day pre-school to full day kindergarten and how tough the transition was for her just as it is for most kids.

The YMCA of Broome County Child Care Center understands that for a lot of kids, making the transition to school is tough and that's why they're offering a summer enrichment class from June 30th to August 29th called 'Continuing Skills to Kindergarten.'

Children attending kindergarten this fall and will turn 5-years-old on or before December 1st are eligible for the enrichment class. The focus of the class will be on school readiness skills including reading, writing and social skills as well as physical development including swim instruction.
