Bluegrass Festival Saturday in Vestal
My first exposure to bluegrass music was at the Rooney Fest with my dentist of all people. Bluegrass is a pure form of music and if done true to its roots, is played acoustically with no electric instruments.
If you're a bluegrass lover or your experience with the music form is more a curiosity, you might want to check out the 2015 Penny Midwinter Bluegrass Festival Saturday, March 7th from 11am-6pm at the Vestal American Legion, behind Kohl's on Jensen Road.
The cost for this day of music is $8 for members and $10 for non-members.
Bands include: Gospel Way, Spare Parts, Slewfoot, Slygo Creek, Go Big or Go Home, Supper Pickers, and a Grand Finale Pick-Up.
f you're a musician and want to show off your pickin' style, you'll have that opportunity Sunday too so bring your instruments. See you there!
