Paws And Pints Brings Dogs And Beer Together

Dogs, families, local businesses, and veterans will come together in Port Crane this October for a fun afternoon with an important purpose. Paws & Pints will return on Saturday, October 10th, from noon to 4 p.m. at Beer Tree Brew Farm. The event is a celebration of Stand With Me’s 10th anniversary. The event will be held the following day, Sunday, October 11th, if it rains..

A Fun Day for Dogs and Their People

Paws & Pints is family-friendly, dog-friendly, and open to everyone. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to come along with their families. There will be dog costume and trick contests, live dog demonstrations, pet activities, photo opportunities, local vendors, basket raffles, and music by Allie Torto Music.

Jones Humdinger Ice Cream will be there with treats for people and special doggy sundaes for four-legged guests. Beer Tree food and drinks will be available to buy during the event.

Helping Veterans in the Southern Tier

Paws & Pints raises money for Stand With Me, a local nonprofit that helps veterans dealing with service-related mental health challenges. The organization teaches qualifying veterans how to train their own dogs to become service dogs. The program is offered at no cost to the veteran.

For many veterans, training with their dog can help build confidence and a stronger bond with a trusted companion. “We are incredibly excited to celebrate 10 years of Stand With Me and the veterans and families who have been part of this journey,” said Frankie “Myrph” McMahon, founder and executive director of Stand With Me. “Paws & Pints is a wonderful way for the community to come together, have fun, and help us continue this important work.”

Tickets Include a Pint Glass and Drink

People attending Paws & Pints can buy a $10 event ticket. The ticket includes a commemorative Paws & Pints pint glass and one free beverage. The event is presented by Broome County, and all proceeds will help Stand With Me continue its work with local veterans and their dogs. Paws & Pints will be held Saturday, October 10th, from noon to 4 p.m. at Beer Tree Brew Farm in Port Crane. The rain date is Sunday, October 11th.
