September 28 was an afternoon clash of two high school football powerhouses as Maine-Endwell hosted Chenango Forks. The Spartans looked to not only improve their record but also snap the Blues Devils win streak.

Lance Gulliver off the pass from Nick DeLucia scored the first points of the game for Maine-Endwell. The PAT was no good so it was 6-0 in favor of the Spartans early in the first quarter.

Chenango Forks responded with a Lucas Scott touchdown run from 24 yards out. The extra point made it through the upright, allowing the Blue Devils to take the 7-6 lead just before the end of the quarter. Neither team managed to score in the second quarter, meaning their one-point lead would be carried into the locker room at halftime.

The second half was a defensive battle where both teams couldn't put together a strong enough drive to end up in the endzone. The Chenango Forks Blue Devils managed to escape with the narrow 7-6 victory to remain undefeated at 4-0 while the Maine-Endwell Spartans fall to 2-2.
