Binghamton Restaurant Week: Glenn Goes To Cortese Restaurant

There is only 2 days left for Binghamton Restaurant Week. It benefits CHOW and it gives you a chance to support local restaurants.  Go here to see the businesses that are participating. I went to Cortese Restaurant yesterday and here's how it went.I went there for the lunch special.  Whenever I go I have Penne Ala Vodka. I thought this would be a good opportunity to try something different.  So I had the Fried Haddock. WOW and awesome.

I was telling my waitress, Rochelle, how much I love the Penne Ala Vodka at Cortese and that I was happy to see it on the Dinner Menu. She informed me that you can order the dinner specials anytime even for lunch. Good to know.

As always the food was excellent and the staff was friendly.  You will never have a empty glass of water on your table. I swear they have water radar there. Also without Traci with me, I got to eat two desserts (Homemade Tiramisu and Brownie Ala Mode.) It lasted about 98 seconds as the picture shows.

Thanks again to Rochelle and the entire staff. Cortese has been around since 1947 and they haven't slowed down. There at 177 Robinson Street in Binghamton.  You only have 2 days left so stop by any of the participating restaurants and remember eat well, be social, and support a great cause. bite into it.
