Binghamton Mets Look For Their 50th Win Against Michael Pineda
Binghamton Mets split a double header with Trenton. They lost game one 4-2 and hang on for a 4-3 win in the nightcap. Today they go for win 50. It would be the first time the Mets got their 50th victory before July 1st.
It'll be a little of a challenge as they'll be facing 2011 All-Star Michael Pineda in a rehab start for the Trenton Thunder (Double A Yankee affiliate). Michael is hoping to be at Yankee Stadium before the year is through. The Mets will counter with highly-touted pitching prospect and Eastern League All-Star Noah Syndergaard
Off the field is another Kids Eat Free on Family Fun Day with 98.1 the Hawk. Children who are 14 & under with paid admission eat for FREE. For each child's ticket, the youngster will receive vouchers good for a FREE hot dog, small Coke, bag of chips, small popcorn and a healthy snack.
It's also Pirates and Princess Night. All fans (young and old) dress up as a Pirate or Princess and celebrate the magic of the fantasy world at the ballpark. All kids dressing up as a Princess or Pirate will receive a FREE ticket. First pitch is 1:05.
