One of the things that I love about living in the Southern Tier is that there are many really good golf courses to choose from. No matter where you are, there is a place near you to tee it up for a good time.

Speaking of a "good time", I find that a good time to go to the golf course is the week AFTER a holiday. This year, July 4th falls on a Monday so I'll plan my golf get-togethers beginning on Monday, July 11th. Why?

Almost everyone I know is taking the week of July 4th off. That means that they'll be going back to work the next week and leaving some room for me at my favorite golf place.
