Do you like to shop? Of course, you do. If you live in Binghamton or nearby, here is some exciting shopping news for you.
New York State has two of the largest shopping malls in the United States and both of them are a reasonable driving distance from Binghamton? These malls are worth a drive, even if just to window shop.
The first mall on the list is no surprise to us, it's Destiny USA in Syracuse. Destiny USA is 2.4 million square feet of space, with over 250 stores! This mall has everything from department stores to entertainment like a ropes course and an indoor amusement park. You can catch a movie at the 19-screen Regal Cinemas theater or eat at the food court with its many, many options.
The second mall on the list, is about two hours from Binghamton is the Crossgates Mall in Albany. With 1.6 million square feet of space, Crossgates Mall has over 180 stores to see. It also has an indoor go-kart track and an aquarium for those who want to see the wonders of marine life. After a day of shopping, you can rest your tired toes at one of the many restaurants and coffee shops in the mall.

Since both of these malls are close to Binghamton, it’s no big surprise that many people from the Southern Tier take road trips to shop at them. Whether you're looking for a specific item or just want to wander around, Destiny USA and Crossgates Mall are two places you won't want to miss.
