It's been an up and down series for the Rumble Ponies on the road in Bowie as they have a loss on August 19 followed by a win on August 20. For the rubber game on August 21, Binghamton yearned for a victory to claim the series.

It was the Baysox who got on the board first in the bottom of the first. Jesmuel Valentin out on a sac fly to left field managed to bring home Cedric Mullins. Bowie took the early 1-0 lead.

Binghamton immediately responded in the top of the second. Gavin Cecchini with a solo homer to center field tied the game at one apiece. Bowie retaliated once again in the bottom of the second as Ryan McKenna on the RBI triple scored T.J Nichting. The Baysox were on top 2-1 after two.

The Rumble Ponies weren't able to score in the third, but Bowie recorded another run. A line-drive single to right field from Zach Jarrett brought home, Brett Cumberland to make it a 3-1 lead for the Baysox after three.

Binghamton would strike back in the top of the fourth. Will Toffey on the RBI single to right field allowed Patrick Mazeika to cross home plate. Luis Carpio would follow up by delivering home Michael Paez off the ground ball single. Rumble Ponies would tie the game at three. Bowie would answer back in the bottom of the fourth with Ryan Ripken hitting a triple to right field, scoring both Mullins and Valentin. After four, it was 5-3 in favor of the Baysox.

The Rumble Ponies cut into the lead in the top of the fifth. Cecchini helped rack up another run as he singled to left and sent home Barrett Barnes. Moving ahead to the top of the sixth, Jacob Zanon's sac fly registered another run for Binghamton as Carpio went home. It was a tie ballgame after six.

The tides began to turn in the seventh. At the top of the inning, Mazeika would put the Ponies on top with his solo home run. Good defense in the bottom half of the inning prevented Bowie from making any headway. Binghamton led 6-5 after seven.

Bowie would tie the game in the bottom of the ninth with a homer from Cumberland. The Baysox couldn't score another run, so the game went into extra innings.

In the bottom of the tenth McKenna hit a sacrifice bunt, scoring Nichting and ending the ballgame. Bowie wins 7-6 in extra innings. Binghamton's record falls to 61-66 overall as a result of the loss. The Rumble Ponies will begin their next road series on August 22 in New Hampshire to play the Fisher Cats. The first game is scheduled to begin at 7:05 P.M.
