Among the countless numbers of cancellations this year due to the pandemic, the Vestal marching band’s 2020 NYSFBC season was cancelled.

According to a news release from the Vestal Central School District, the Vestal Marching Band continued to practice with virtual rehearsal meetings.

The dedication of the students and their band director Gregory Harris, the practices continued and the band collaborated to put together something very special.

Harris said even though the season was cancelled the group couldn’t “Bear” the thought of being apart

A statement from the news release pretty much says it all While this fall was not ideal, or even an adequate replacement for all we do in our normal fall season, it proved that no matter what, VMB is made of up resilient, dedicated, and passionate students and staff. It's also proven that, no matter the circumstances, we're HAPPY TOGETHER!

The band worked and rehearsed for several weeks to put together a very special collaboration done through the modern miracle of the social media platform vessel.
