Following the controversy over its suspension of Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson.  A&E has now decided to reinstate him. This time it's for Season 5. Is it me or is the media ignoring this news?

We heard story after story of how Phil Robertson was suspended for his remarks to GQ. I've heard very little about him being back.  I'm sure they'll claim that the holidays and year end review news stories are the reason.  I'll let you be the judge.

A&E said, "After discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, we've decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family." They had originally said that Phil would be a part of Duck Dynasty when Season 4 started January 15th. It already had been shot and they weren't going to edit him out.

A&E also said that it plans to launch a national public service campaign promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people, a message that supports their core values as a company, and the values found in Duck Dynasty.

A&E Networks expressed their disappointment with his statements in the article, and reiterate that they are not views they hold.  They added "Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man's views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family…a family that America has come to love."

They mention in their statement that the family comes together at the end of the show to pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness. They also mention that is 3 values that A&E also feel strongly about. What they don't mention.....That rumors have surfaced that some executives at the network have been trying to cut out the prayer at the end of the show for some time. The folks at Duck have insisted that it stay in and it has.

It's back and that's what counts. You've spoken loud and clear and they've listened. We enjoyed the marathon on Christmas Day and am looking forward to Season 4 on January 15th. WELCOME BACK PHIL.
