This is the final weekend for Howloween at the Zoo at the Binghamton Zoo. Howloween is more about the zoo and less about the boo. It's a family-friendly event that runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.

It has Halloween stations and activities for all ages. Kids can earn tokens at each station and redeem them for candy and prizes.

They encourage you to dress up in costume, so I think I'll wear my Tigger costume. It's a zoo so I should dress up like an animal...Okay, It's my favorite costume, so I would have worn it anyway.

You can stop by your local Visions Credit Union and get a free ticket to this weekend's event. Sunday is Mascot Day and Rowdy the Rumble Pony will be there from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.,

Next weekend "Boo at the Zoo" is back and new this year, they'll be open on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday night from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

It begins next Friday, October 18th, so celebrate the Halloween season by touring the zoo in a whole new light...or no lights at all…HAHAHA!!

Boo at the Zoo is intended for older audiences and is not recommended for children under the age of 10. Strollers will not be allowed into the event. You can wear a costume but masks are NOT permitted.

Free parking will be available at the UHS parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue. The BC Transit Trolley will shuttle you back and forth from there to the zoo beginning at 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Tara and I like to take the Trolley because it feels like going back in time. The Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
