As hard as this might be to believe, there's a Belgian music festival that's made a video featuring women twerking to classical music with the hope of exposing the music to a new audience. Say what?!?

Musical Toronto posted the video yesterday with a headline that read, "Classical music festival goes too far with tasteless Twerking video." Article author Michael Vincent wrote, "Watching this makes me wonder what this festival was thinking? I'd hazard a guess: classical music can be just as cool and has as pop music. But my impression is that it comes across as hollow and trashy."

I agree.

The video features five women dancing provocatively to Dvorak's "Symphony No. 9 Allegro con fuoco." At the end of the video, those watching are reminded, "You just listened to 3 minutes of classical music."

I don't know about you, but I think if it takes twerking to get people to listen to classical music, then we've failed.
