How to Shuck Corn Like a Boss
I’ve never in my entire life met someone who loves corn on the cob more than my little boy. Whenever it’s time for a meal in our house, John starts jumping up and down, shrieking “coooooorn!” We buy so much that we should probably think about investing stock in corn.
I have to agree with my son that one of the best things about this time of year is fresh corn on the cob, but removing the husk and all those pesky pieces of silk is less than thrilling which is why I’m so thankful for the test kitchen editors at America’s Test Kitchen because I would never have thought of this on my own. They’ve come up with a way to that uses the microwave to partially steam the cobs so all we have to do is slip them out of the husk and the silks slide right off too. No mess to clean up, just more time to eat corn.
