The Salvation Army is gearing up for its annual Red Kettle Campaign, and it could definitely use your help. This campaign is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and it funds incredible programs right here in our community, like helping the youth, food pantries, disaster relief, and other important social services.

The Red Kettle Campaign kicks off on November 11th and keeps going strong until December 23rd. Guess what? Every single penny dropped into those red kettles stays right here in Binghamton, helping our friends and neighbors in need.

The Salvation Army needs enthusiastic volunteers like you to be their bell-ringers. With the increased demand for their services due to COVID, inflation, and other factors, they need more hands on deck.

Many people in our community are struggling, and The Salvation Army wants to help them with hope and support. If you want to be a rock-star bell-ringer, go to The Salvation Army's Facebook page.

They've got QR codes, and all you need to do is scan one to find a bell-ringing opportunity that fits your schedule. If you have any questions about volunteering, just give Captain Joseph Hansen a call at 607-722-2987 or email him at joseph.hansen@use.salvationarmy.org.

What Is The Salvation Army

Let me tell you a bit about The Salvation Army. They're not just any organization - they've been helping people in need since way back in 1865. Every year, they help around 33 million Americans through a wide range of services.

They provide food for the hungry, help out disaster victims, support the disabled, reach out to the elderly and ill, shelter the homeless, and give underprivileged children amazing opportunities. On the national level, about 82 cents of every dollar raised goes to supporting these services in nearly 9,000 communities across the country.

Locally it's even better as 90 cents of every dollar donated goes straight to programs and services right here in Binghamton. That's an impressive number if you ask me! Let's team up with The Salvation Army of Binghamton and make a difference this holiday season.

Volunteer for the Red Kettle Campaign because together we can bring hope, support, and much-needed resources to our community. Let's show that Binghamton's has got heart!
