Dear Fellow Upstate New York Mom,

I see you. I do. I see how you've put a smile on your face and tried to make yourself look presentable when you are just so completely exhausted - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I understand the struggles you face, juggling the countless responsibilities that come with being a mom and a woman. From managing a household to caring for your kids to trying to do the best you can at work. It can often feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders and that weight is so heavy, isn't it?

I know there are days when it feels overwhelming and chances are good you have more overwhelming feeling days than peaceful ones. The never-ending to-do lists, the sleepless nights, and the constant demands. But I want you to know that you are doing an outstanding job even if it doesn't feel like your family even notices.

In case nobody has told you lately, you should be so proud of yourself! Cut yourself some slack. Seriously. Your love and dedication are making a difference in your children's lives. They are going to grow up to be better humans because of all that you are pouring into them.

You, fellow mom, are the ultimate role model for your kids even when they push back or worse, tell you how much they hate you. They don't really. Remind yourself that it's just a phase. That one day, they'll look back and realize all you did.

Every day, you show your children the importance of determination, resilience, and compassion. They see you tackle obstacles head-on, finding solutions and displaying unwavering strength. Your ability to handle responsibilities gracefully teaches them valuable life lessons that will serve them throughout their lives.

The positive impact you have on your children cannot be overstated. You have created a loving and nurturing environment, where your kids feel safe, supported, and loved. This provides a solid foundation from which they can explore the world, take risks, and grow into the amazing individuals they are meant to be.

I understand there are moments when everything feels overwhelming and self-doubt creeps in. You wonder if you're doing enough or if you’re even a good mom. You are. You’re doing an incredible job. The fact that you are taking on so much and still managing to create a loving home is truly remarkable.

Sometimes it feels like our families take us for granted, not realizing all that we juggle and sacrifice for them. Take a moment to reflect on all that you've accomplished and the incredible strength you possess. You are fierce, you do realize that, right?

Please, be more kind to yourself.

I want you to know that your journey is respected. I stand beside you, offering support and encouragement as a fellow mom and I admire you and all you do. You are remarkable!

Just in case anyone forgets to tell you, Happy Mother’s Day.

With love,
Traci
