You probably didn't know this, but every year, millions of needy kids go without underwear. This is no joke- not having proper undergarments can be a serious blow to a kid's self-esteem and it can impact not only their psyche, but their ability to learn, excel and better themselves.

36-year-old mom Koree Khongphand-Buckman vowed to make a change and has created a non-profit called Underwearness that raises money and donates undergarments to impoverished kids here in the United States and all over the world.

In an interview with Redbook, Koree explained, "Many children go without underwear because their parents have to choose between clothing items – they can't afford everything – and no one can tell if you aren't wearing underwear. I've been told that it's the second-most-requested thing, behind food, by impoverished families, but the least donated."

The all volunteer non-profit has collected more than 90,000 pair of underwear for charity, and has provided 15,000 children worldwide with 6 pair of undergarments a piece.

If you want to help out and make a donation, it's as easy as throwing an extra pack in your shopping cart when you're out buying supplies for your kids. You can find donation info on the Underwearness website.
