Nutella Hot Chocolate [RECIPE]
My favorite season is autumn. I love the crisp mornings and leafless trees. I love the smells of pumpkin and cinnamon and crackling fires. Everything seems enveloped in beautiful colors and life slows down a little. I love listening to the crunch of leaves under my feet and apple picking and sitting on my porch with a steaming cup of hot cocoa.
With that said, how about these fall like temperatures? Ha! Fall has decided to come in more like summer and has brought with it warmer weather than we saw most of the summer. So what are Autumn lovers to do? Well, I think it’s perfectly acceptable crank up the A.C., don shorts and a t-shirt, and make a big mug of hot chocolate. If you’re as sad as I am that the weather is so warm, maybe if you close your eyes while you sip on this delicious Nutella hot chocolate, you’ll be able to day dream about Fall.
Here’s how I make my Nutella hot chocolate. The fun thing about this drink is that you can play around with it to tailor it to your tastes.
Nutella Hot Chocolate
- 1 cup of milk (I used organic vanilla soy, but this will work with regular milk too)
- 2 generous teaspoons of Nutella
Heat milk and Nutella in a saucepan, stirring until hot (keep an eye on this because you don’t want a bubbly burned mess) and until the Nutella melts into the milk.
Pour into a mug and top off with a marshmallow. I bet this would taste really good with a whole cinnamon stick placed in the mug, too.
