It's the 29th NY Farm Show going on today and tomorrow at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Good news, the show is expanding.

This year, the show is expanding to fill six buildings at the Fairgrounds. The show will feature more than 400 exhibitors, covering equipment, services, products, and information for the farming industry.

It includes a variety of agricultural programs; alternative energy initiatives; animal health products; barn, feed, orchard, watering and dairy equipment; combines; engines and motors; financial services for farmers; silos and silage; and tractors.

A number of seminars will take place throughout the three day event, including topics covering dairy robotonomics, beef production, forestry and crop insurance.

The Robert Watson Memorial Toy Auction will take place at 5 on Saturday in the Empire Room at the Art & Home Center. Nearly 200 farm toys will be auctioned off, with the proceeds supporting the New York FFA. You can also buy farm toys during the show.

Over 30,000 visitors are expected at the New York Farm Show, which opens at 8:30 and goes till 4 . Admission is $5. Parking is free and shuttle buses will be available. More information is available at www.newyorkfarmshow.com.
