Mark Donald Ramin, a 40-year-old man, left his job at the Pyramid Mall sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. that evening. Departing on foot, Ramin was believed to be heading home yet he never made it. Today, over 20 years after his disappearance, the case remains unsolved.

Ramin, who would now be 61 years old, had recently been laid off from his job at the shopping center but was actively seeking a new position there.

Authorities believe that Ramin was walking to his residence on Winthrop Drive in Ithaca when he went missing. However, he never arrived home and has not been heard from since.

Ramin's brother, who lived with him, became concerned when he did not return home the next day and informed their mother. She then reported Ramin missing to the local authorities.

Despite an extensive search of the area, no clues regarding Ramin's whereabouts were discovered. There were unconfirmed reports of a possible sighting in a wooded area near his residence on the day after his disappearance. However, concrete evidence to support this sighting was lacking.

Ramin is described as a white male with hazel eyes, standing at 5'5" and weighing approximately 135 pounds. Notably, he wore glasses, and the tip of his right middle finger was missing. On the day he vanished, he was last seen wearing a tan jacket, green golf shirt, blue jeans, light green sneakers, and gold-rimmed glasses.

Ramin is described as a dependable individual with strong family connections, making his disappearance voluntary highly unlikely. Additionally, there has been no activity on his credit cards or bank accounts since he went missing.
