According to Music Row, Grammy award winning Lynn Anderson has passed away at the age of 67. The cause of her death has not been released as of this writing.

The multi-award-winning singer is known for a string of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, most notably her country-pop hit “(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden.” Anderson became one of the most successful country singers of the ’70s. She shared the stage with legends Lucille Ball, Bing Crosby, John Wayne and many others.  She performed for a number of presidents including Nixon, Ford, Carter and Reagan.  It was thanks to being a regular on "The Lawrence Welk Show" that she received her Columbia Records recording contract, and sold millions of records.

Anderson was also named Top Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music (ACM) twice, and Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association (CMA).  Lynn Anderson played Binghamton a number of times through the years.  She will be missed.
