This weekend was defiantly a reminder of a change in seasons as a hot Binghamton summer ended and almost like clock work, autumn rolled right in with cooler temperatures.

With fall comes another sample of some of Binghamton's best local restaurants and an opportunity to try these tastes with another Binghamton Restaurant Week, always a favorite occasion for me.

EatBing does a great job putting together an impressive list of tastes for its' popular Binghamton Restaurant Week, running 10 days, October 18 through October 27th, in and around downtown Binghamton. This is an opportunity to try a new locally owned restaurant with friends and family, or return to a favorite eatery for some new tastes. Some of the restaurants are known to add a few new menu items during this time to get feedback.

A portion of the proceeds will go to help local charities.  In the past, thousands of dollars have gone to help the Boys and Girls Club, Animal Care Council, and many others.

Here is a sample of restaurants participating this October in Binghamton:

Sake-Tumi, The House of Reardon, Binghamton Hots, South City Publick House, Lost Dog Cafe, Thai Time Restaurant, Zona & Co. Grillle, Whole in the Wall Restaurant, The Shop, The Colonial, River Bistro @ DoubleTree by Hilton, Zona & Co. Grillle, Burger Mondays Bar & Grille, Water Street Brewing Co., Galaxy Brewing Company, Taj Tandoor Restaurant, The Chatterbox, Tranquil Bar and Bistro, Social on State, Remlik's Grille & Oyster Bar, Number 5 Restaurant.

More restaurants will be added.  For the most up to date list of participating restaurants, along with prices and sample menus, visit, EatBing.com.
