It's hard to believe the compilation CD of A Very Special Christmas is celebrating 25 years.  The project started in 1987 with a handful of artists getting together to raise money for the Special Olympics.

25 years later, the fundraiser is still going strong with a brand new release.

The new collection features traditional Christmas songs such as, an annoying version of Joy To The World by Train, a powerful Oh Holy Night from Christina Aguilera and a memorable rendition of Angels We Have Heard On High by Jewel.

My favorite cuts are by Rascal Flatts (Mary Did You Know), Martina McBride (Please Come Home For Christmas) and the always pleasing Vince Gill (Breath Of Heaven: Mary's Song).

Other artists on the 25th Anniversary of A Very Special Christmas are Michael Buble, Jordin Sparks, Amy Grant, Dave Matthews Band, Cheap Trick, Jason Mraz and more.

Most of these tracks are reissues but it's a nice collection that helps the Special Olympics and a good variety of artists, that will please the many musical tastes of guests may drop by your house over the holidays.
