5K Run/Walk to Help Those Who Need Help to Walk and Run
It’s a run/walk to help those who need help to walk and run. Next Saturday April 22nd, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Department at SUNY BROOME is having their 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk.
It’s your chance to enjoy a scenic path around the Vestal Coal House Rail Trail. It begins at 10:00 am and if you preregister by April 17th, you’ll get a T-shirt. You have a week, if you want the T-shirt and who doesn’t want that?
All proceeds will benefit the only physical therapist assistant education program in our part of the state, SUNY Broome and the SUNY Broome Physical Therapy Assistant Club.
It’s amazing to hear the stories from those who have benefited from this program. John Loyd was one and a half when his mother was hit by a car. She suffered a spinal cord injury. He credits the medical breakthroughs and the excellent physical therapists with her progress.
He wants to thank all those of you that are participating from him and all future patients as well.
Go here for more info and to register ahead of time. Registration and packet pickup starts at 8:30am on Saturday (4/22). We hope that you will walk/run for those who can use your help to walk and run.
