It's a run/walk to help those who need help to walk and run, it's the 3rd annual SUNY Broome PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) Superhero 5K this Saturday, April 21st beginning at 10 a.m.

All proceeds will benefit the only physical therapist assistant education program in our part of the state, SUNY Broome and the SUNY Broome Physical Therapy Assistant Club.

It's amazing to hear the stories from those who have benefited from this program. John Loyd was one and a half when his mother was hit by a car and she suffered a spinal cord injury.

He credits the medical breakthroughs and the excellent physical therapists for helping his mother's progress and he wants to thank all of you that are participating this Saturday.

I love this idea, this year you are encouraged to wear Superhero Costumes and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes along with overall and age group awards. The race is open to everyone so go here for more info and to register.

My costume is Hot Dog Man, I've been called a hot dog more then once and who doesn't like hot dogs? Do you have yours picked out yet?
