Lots To Do at the Binghamton Zoo in May
There is a lot going on at the Binghamton Zoo this month and it begins this Mother’s Day weekend.
Here’s a really good way to treat mom and thank her for everything she does with free admission on Sunday….Mother’s Day in case you forgot and 98.1 the Hawk is proud to sponsor this event.
That’s just the beginning. On Saturday, May 20th it’s the 4th Annual Run WILD at the Vestal Coal House. Runners and walkers will both start at 11 am. It’s a USATF certified 5K NY14087J on the Vestal Rail Trail.
The Binghamton Zoo will have two ZooMobiles and educational displays. You can visit the animals during or after the 5K run/walk. Juggler extraordinaire, Will Stafford will be on hand to perform and there will be a free kids run after the 5K. You can register now for this event.
Finally on Sunday, May 21st, America’s 5th Oldest Zoo will be have an Endangered Species Day. It’s a chance for you to to learn about the importance of saving endangered species and everyday actions they can take to help protect them. A free Zoo Mobile will also take place at the Ross Park Amphitheater from 1-2 pm.
The Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road and the admissions booth is open from 10 am – 4 pm every day with the zoo closing at 5 pm.
