I think it's pretty amazing that we live in an area steeped in traditions that have been delighting people of all ages for decades. Traditions like the Spencer Picnic.

The Spencer Picnic isn't just any old fair. According to their website, it's one of the longest running Town/Village fairs in all of the United States. As a matter of fact, this year marks the 107th consecutive celebration of Spencer Picnic which is underway now through Saturday.

Each year, the Spencer Picnic is held in the Village of Spencer at Nichols Park. The park will open for the fair tonight and tomorrow at 6pm, and at 12pm on Saturday, which is when you'll have the opportunity to check out the 33rd Annual Spencer Picnic Car Show.

Whether you're a car enthusiast, or just like to browse, you won't want to miss this free car show. While the show is free, donations are appreciated and will benefit the Van Etten/Spencer VFW. If you'd like to participate in the car show or the parade, registration will be held from 9am-12pm at 6 Academy Street. Trophies and door prizes will be held at 2pm.

For more information on how you can participate in the Spencer Picnic Car Show, reach out to Doug at 607-592-2100.
