With everything that is happening in our country today, it's hard to find happiness.   Inflation, fuel, and food prices continue to rise although KUDOS to Walmart and Aldi for reducing the Thanksgiving items to pre-inflation prices. So happiness can be found but we have to pursue it and that's what the second full week of November is all about...the pursuit of happiness. The Declaration of Independence guarantees the Pursuit of Happiness but our government is making it increasingly difficult.

Not many people are happy with how long it takes to get the results of the election...Really, it's been almost a week. Someone get Count Van Count from Sesame Street, he could do...and we would actually believe the result. So what can we do?

How To Pursue Happiness In A Unhappy World

Count your blessings. Speaking of Count Van Count, we need to count our blessings. It's very easy to get caught up with the things that don't matter in the long run. When things are going sideways, write it down.

Later when you look back at it, you'll see how you got through it. This could give you a path to follow, the next time something comes your way and your not sure how to get through it.

Spread happiness. I've noticed that when I do something for someone else, it ultimately makes me happy. I really get joy when I do something for someone that can't pay me back and I don't want them to.

Have a good laugh today...and every day. Nothing changes the mood of a room faster than a laugh, chuckle or even a groan. We all need relief from all the stress that surrounds us and can overtake us if we allow it.

Life is too short to sweat the petty, so let it go and laugh. As a funny friend of mine told me one, "don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff." I had no idea what he was talking about but I was happy when he was done saying it.

Do you know what else makes people happy? The morning show. Sometimes when the show is on and sometimes when the show is over...Now that's funny.

Here are some memes to make you happy today.

LOOK: 50 famous memes and what they mean

With the infinite number of memes scattered across the internet, it's hard to keep track. Just when you've grasped the meaning of one hilarious meme, it has already become old news and replaced by something equally as enigmatic. Online forums like Tumblr, Twitter, 4chan, and Reddit are responsible for a majority of meme infections, and with the constant posting and sharing, finding the source of an original meme is easier said than done. Stacker hunted through internet resources, pop culture publications, and databases like Know Your Meme to find 50 different memes and what they mean. While the almost self-replicating nature of these vague symbols can get exhausting, memes in their essence can also bring people closer together—as long as they have internet access.
