Police say a driver faces charges following a one-car crash in Tioga County.

Authorities say 28-year-old Aerika Weed of Friendsville, Pennsylvania was arrested following the incident on Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin.

According to New York State Police, Weed was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Investigators say the vehicle Weed had been driving overturned on the shoulder of the roadway.

Weed was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation. She was ticketed for possession of an open alcohol container and moving from lane unsafely. She also was cited for operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. August 10. Weed was issued appearance tickets for Owego town court on August 22.
