I don't know about you, but I was raised in a home where the belief was that women were to stay home and care for the children and house while men were to work and provide for the family. That mentality definitely doesn't stand today.

According to a recent survey, two-thirds of men say they prefer a marriage with both partners sharing each of the household’s responsibilities. That means two-thirds of guys prefer a marriage where the husband and wife both have jobs, both do housework, and both take care of the kids.

In 1977, which really wasn't that long ago, things were very different. Back then, less than half of guys said they liked the idea of sharing duties. Instead, a majority of guys thought a marriage where the husband provides for the family and the wife takes care of the house and children was more satisfying.
